Troop 1589 is a family-friendly Scouting community in Madison Heights, Michigan. We offer inclusive Scouting experiences for boys and girls ages 5–20 through our Cub Scout Pack, Boys and Girls Troops, and also a Co-ed Venturing Crew.
As of February 2025, our Troop is thriving with over 30 youth (boys and girls), supported by a dedicated group of 30+ Assistant Scoutmasters, Adult Leaders, and Committee Members who help make every meeting, trip, and campout a success.

Founded in 1961 and proudly chartered by Edmonson Elementary PTO (Peek) under the Michigan Crossroads Council, Troop 1589 has a long-standing mission of building leadership, fostering a love for the outdoors, and serving our community.

Meetings are held every Thursday throughout the school year at Page Middle School in Madison Heights, MI. Our weekly meetings offer a mix of hands-on activities, leadership development, as well as outdoor skills.

We schedule monthly campouts and outings, service projects throughout the year, and regular opportunities for both youth and adult training, to ensure Scouts of all ages grow in confidence, skills, and teamwork.
